Reidsville - Reidsville - Elizabeth P. Kozak of Reidsville, NC passed away peacefully in her sleep at 76 years of age on the morning of June 22nd, 2025. She was born on March 10th,1949 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Paul Monroe Pilcher and Nancy Sherwood Pilcher. She grew up in Hamilton, MA and was a longtime resident of Colchester, VT and Essex, MA. Growing up, she loved horses and was lucky enough to have this passion continue into adulthood where she taught riding lessons in Fayetteville, NC. She was a graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.

Throughout her life she found her peace by Lake Champlain. A place lovingly referred to as the Farmhouse, which was a place where all her family and friends loved to spend the summers and have some of the best memories. Liz retired from Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington Vermont. She moved to Reidsville, NC in 2018 with her longtime partner of almost 9 years, Al Marro. She wanted to be midway between both her daughters, Elise Finlay Kozak of St. Augustine, FL and Anna Kozak Grimard of Concord, NH, whom she adored beyond measure.

Liz leaves behind three grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Angelica Gonzalez, William Gonzalez and Joshua Grimard. Liz was one of the lucky people to have two best friends that spanned her entire life, Barbara Gilfillen and Margaret Dumas. Her quick wit, sense of humor, stubbornness, and deep love will be things remembered as people start to reflect on the person she was while on this earth. She is survived by her brother Paul Pilcher of Gloucester, MA, daughters, Anna Grimard and Elise Kozak.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
