Beverly - Fern J. Hilliard, 74, of Gloucester, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, after a lengthy illness
Fern was born to Nancy and George "Frenchy" Hilliard and was a 1968 graduate of Rockport High School.
Fern worked for many years at the Studio Restaurant in Gloucester and also as a limo driver. He was a friend of Bill W.
He is survived by numerous siblings, nieces and nephews. He also stayed in close contact with his cousins in Ireland and visited there several times.
The Hilliard family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Beverly Hospital and Hunt's nursing home for the expert care that he received.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
