Essex - Essex - Gary Martin Stone 74, of Essex, MA and Oakland, CA passed away on the evening of October 31, 2025 following a brief illness. A navtive of Essex, Gary was the son of the late Martin C. Stone and Pauline (Craig) Stone. Gary was a graduate of Gloucester High Scholl, Class of 1969.

Gary was a great student athelete at Gloucester High School,playing four years of Varsity Basketball and Baseball. He enjoyed Golf and Tennis with his friends and family. He was an avid reader, always learning, which translated to his natural ability to converstate on any topic. His quick wit and sense of humor made him a joy to be around. He will be missed by friends and family from near and far.

He is survived by his partner, Sarah Richter of Oakland, CA, and his brother's and sister's, Marlene (Stone) Hulbert and her husband Chuck of Ipswich, Kendall Stone of Essex, Ernest Doucette of Essex, Dan Doucestte and his wife Jackie of Essex, Scott Doucette and his wife Sonja of Gloucester, Barry Doucette and his wife Donna of Gloucester, and Lee Doucette of Gloucester. Gary was predeceased by his wife, Mary Foster and his Stepmother, Gertrude (Doucette) Stone.

Arrangements are Private and will be celebrated at a later date with family and friends.
