Gloucester - George V. Enos, 73, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, February 5, 2020 at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Salem, MA on April 23, 1946, son of the late George and Mary (Ladycewski) Enos.
George was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1964. He later attended North Shore Community College, receiving his Associate's degree in respiratory therapy. George worked for over 39 years at the Addison Gilbert Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist, a job he truly enjoyed doing. He also served in the United States Navy. George was a former Essex Firefighter and EMT.
In his spare time, he loved to go golfing, fishing and do a bit of hunting. He and his quirky sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his four children, George Cressey of Essex and his children, Elizabeth and Tommy, Jackie Doucette and her husband Dan of Essex and their children, Sarah, Emily and Caroline, Colleen Enos of Essex and her children, Allison and Paige Marshall and Daniel Enos of Essex; his long-time partner of many years, Susan Smith of Gloucester.
He was predeceased by his brother, Phillip Enos.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Cape Ann Veterans Services, City Hall, 9 Dale Avenue, Gloucester, MA 01930. Please make check payable to Veterans Services.

I first met George when he was my Respiratory Therapist, a efficient, professional man. Many years later we would become coworkers at AGH. Always ready to give a hand to help or to educate. A great guy.
