Gloucester, MA - Gerald grew up in Gloucester, his friends referred to him as "Squigg". He participated in all youth sports, turning him into an avid sports fan. Packers all the way! Go Celtics! He was known for his one liners to keep people smiling. A jack of all trades he enjoyed, carpentry and painting. If you knew him, he was sure to touch your soul. He will be sadly missed. Gerald was born to the late Susan (Roy) Taves and Gerald Fonseca. He is survived by his son, Devin Taves, a sister, Kimberly (Taves) Jenkins and her husband James Jenkins, a niece, Brittany Jenkins and also a nephew, Ryan Jenkins. He had many aunts, uncles and cousins, a lifelong friend and brother Joseph Allen

Gerald was a sweet kid who grew up to be a Great man, he was the type to give you the shirt off his back, so sorry to hear of his passing, he was loved by everyone who knew him and will be Greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends❤️🙏😢
