Gordon H. Jellow Obituary
Salisbury - Gordon Jellow, of Georgetown, passed away on February 13, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He died of a broken heart just two weeks after the loss of his beloved wife, Karen, who was truly the center of his world.
His number one job was taking care of Karen and doing anything to make her happy. Gordon wrote love letters to Karen during their many years together, which she cherished. Gordon met the love of his life, Karen, on Long Beach in Gloucester in the summer of 1962, and they shared 61 devoted years of marriage, spending most of their lives together in Georgetown.
Born and raised in Malden, he was the son of the late Philip G. and Lorraine F. (McDonald) Jellow. He graduated from Malden High School, where he was one of the football team captains. He attended the Naval Academy before proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps. Gordon worked for over 40 years at General Electric in Lynn as a project manager in jet engine production. In retirement, he enjoyed working with his brother Rick at Luxam, contributing to museum-quality lighting projects in renowned institutions including the American Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Museums, and Ford's Theatre.
Gordon loved bird hunting with his bird dogs, skeet shooting at the Georgetown Fish and Game Club, and riding his Harley-Davidson with friends, especially trips to New Hampshire and Laconia Bike Week. He also enjoyed his Corvettes and muscle cars, always kept in pristine condition. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, Papa, and friend, and is now reunited with his beloved dogs, Molly, Daisy, and Chyna.
He is survived by his children, Nadine Marcheterre and her husband John, and Timothy Jellow and his wife Amanda; his grandchildren, Anna and Julia "Lia" Marcheterre, and Brendan and Hollis "Katie" Jellow; and bonus grandchildren, Lauren and Joseph Racioppi. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Jellow, and his brother, Richard Jellow.
