Rockport - Grace Katherine (Gemmellaro) Nicastro, passed away on October 1, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of John B. Nicastro, whom she shared 60 years of marriage. She was the daughter of the late Shirley (Clattenburg) and Paul F. Gemmellaro, who lost his life in WWII, and Jerome Laicone Jr.
Grace is survived by her two sons, Salvatore P. and Paul F. Nicastro and his wife Melinda. She leaves behind her two grandsons, whom she cherished, Jack F. Nicastro and Maxwell Hubbard Nicastro; her sister Shirley, wife of Dana Laflam; her brother, Louis Gemmellaro, along with her nieces, nephews and many close friends.
She was retired from the Gloucester Public School Department and enjoyed volunteering every week at the schools. Grace had a passion for life, if it was swimming laps at the YMCA, Steel Derrick or any beach, skiing every weekend with her husband and family or her beautiful garden with her crowd stopping cosmos.
Grace, Gracie K, mother, sis, Mam, Aunt Gracie, to all she had a special place in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
Grace was predeceased by her parents as well as her brother, Jerome Laicone III.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear of Grace's passing. I remember Grace as a warm and friendly person. I always thought of her as my cousin. Beanie and Sherly my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. R.I.P. GRACE.

Grace was a wonderful woman to so many people. She always an air of enthusiasm about her whenever you met her. So sorry for your loss.

Grace was my client for 31 years. I loved her dearly. I know she will be missed by all who knew her. She was so proud of Jack and Maxwell. I am so sorry for your loss.
