Rockport - Rockport - Joanne Wood, 74 passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025. Born in Gloucester July, 29, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Corrine (McClelan) Wood.

Joanie graduated from Endicott College and Salem State College with a master's in psychology. She worked for the State of Mass as a probation officer for 25 years.

Joanie is survived by her brother, Jim, her niece's, Colleen Wood, Kristen Lacy and her husband Kyle Lacey and their children Kayla and Jack, and her nephew, James William Wood.

Her graveside service will be held Friday, July 25th, at 11 am, on the Rockport side of at Locust Grove Cemetery, Gloucester. A celebration of life for Joanie will be held at the Gloucester Elks, 97 Atlantic Rd #101, Gloucester, July 27th, from 1 to 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
