Gloucester - Joel "Pete" Silva, Sr., 83, of Gloucester, passed away Thursday, February 12,2026 at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehab Center in Gloucester.

Son of the Late Lule A. And Ruth C. (Larkin) Silva, and widower to the late Geraldine Allen. Joel was born and raised in Gloucester. He served honorably in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic from 1960 to 1962. He worked for most of his life as a truck driver and a mechanic throughout the years.

Joel is survived by his son, Joel" Pete" Sliva, Jr. and his companion, Donna Lovett; his daughter-in-law Staci Silva and his grandchildren, John Bradley Wright, Lindzy Anne Silva and Markus William Silva, and Jasmine, Adrianna, and Michael.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Geraldine Allen and his son, Dave Silva.
