Essex - John A. Soucy, a devoted patriot who loved God and his family, passed
away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, of natural causes.
Known as "Tiny" in his youth, John was a member of the Salem High School, Class of 1959, where he played football, ran track, and was remembered as the life of the party. He proudly served 21 years in the United States Army, including three tours in Vietnam, and retired as a Sergeant First Class.
A resilient man, John found joy in simple pleasures—baking Christmas treats, cheering on the New England Patriots, and spending time with his loyal dog, Maddie.
John's faith guided him throughout his life and remained a steady source of strength. He now rests in God's eternal care.
He is survived by his five daughters, Karen Soucy, Michelle Soucy, Tina Kahraman, Carol Naples (Alexander), and Jennifer Miller (Jimmy); seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
John will be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
