Gloucester - Joseph Andre Picard, 79, of Gloucester, Massachusetts reposed peacefully in the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. He was born to Eugene S. Picard and Elise Anne (Babineau) Picard in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Love of God, his wife, and country were primary aspects of his life. He had a profound faith in God and love for the Church, a devoted and loyal husband to his wife of 38 years. His enlistment in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War exhibited his love and commitment for individual freedom and peace in the world.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Genevieve, his elder sister Claire and husband Carl Gundel of Needham, MA, his youngest sister Dianne and husband Steve McColgan of Plainville, MA. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

His funeral service was held on Friday morning, December 5th.. at the Orthodox Church of St. John the Russian in Ipswich, MA. Interment immediately followed at the Dolliver Memorial Cemetery in Gloucester, MA with military honors. Assisting Joseph's family was the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich.
