Gloucester - Josephine A. (Parisi) Linquata, 90, of Gloucester, passed away at Kaplan Family Hospice House on Friday, November 22, following a brief illness, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Thomas Linquata. Born in Gloucester, daughter of the late Dominic and Maria (LoPiccolo) Parisi.
Josephine enjoyed knitting, cooking, traveling, bus trips to various destinations, angels and was a devout catholic and loved her family.
Josephine is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Verga and her husband, Peter of Gloucester, Maria Davis and her husband Chris of Gloucester; six grandchildren, Christine, TJ, John, Brett, Alex and Ali; four great grandchildren, Drew, Jordan, Grayson and Jordyn; one grand dog Zoey; special sister-in-law Katie; special niece, Millie and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Lewis Linquata, nine sisters; Rosa, Mary, Pearl, Mary, Grace, Helen, Jennie, Rose and baby Rosalie.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church on Tuesday November 26, at 11 a.m. followed by a burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
