Gloucester - Jovanna Isabella Lombardo-Towns, 25, of Gloucester, unexpectedly passed away May 4, 2026. Born in Gloucester, she was the daughter of John Jay LoCoco III and Carrie-Ann Lombardo-Towns, and was raised by her stepfather Patrick Towns. She graduated from Gloucester High School in 2019 and then went on to study Biotechnology at the Gloucester Biotech Academy and graduated in 2022.

As a lifelong resident of Gloucester, Jovanna grew up playing town sports, enjoying hockey, softball and basketball. She also enjoyed volunteering for the YMCA and local Veteran organizations.

In her free time, Jovanna enjoyed photography, reading, shopping with her siblings, visiting new places, and trying new foods. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her godchild, Colton.

Jovanna's fiery spirit and beautiful smile will live on in her friends and family.

She is survived by her stepfather, Patrick Towns, and her two beautiful sisters Adrianna and Luciana Lombardo-Towns of Gloucester; her grandmothers, Vincie (Novello) Mattson, of Florida, Elizabeth Williams Anderson, of Peabody; her grandfathers, John Jay LoCoco Jr. and Raymond Towns, of Gloucester; her uncle Jack Lombardo of Ipswich and Jason LoCoco of Gloucester, family, and life-long friends.

Jovanna was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie-Ann Lombardo-Towns of Gloucester; father, John Jay LoCoco III. of Gloucester; Grandfather Anthony Lombardo, of Gloucester; and her Grandfather Robert Mattson, of Florida and Grandmother Shaun LoCoco of Gloucester.

A celebration of life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jovanna's name can be made to Cape Ann Animal Aid.
