Rockport - Rockport - Judith (Judi) Elaine Francis D'Antonio Harris, beloved and befriended by many, left us peacefully in the early morning of October 9, 2025. She was 77 years old and was born in Gloucester, MA on June 26, 1948, to Charles Clayton Francis and Mary Alice (Sieg) Francis.

A lifelong resident of Rockport, Judi graduated from Rockport High School in the class of 1966 before earning a Bachelor's degree from Salem State College. Judi dedicated herself to her community throughout her life. She worked at Rockport Public Schools, Sandy Bay Motor Inn, and The Greenery, and served with great distinction as an election worker for 41 years. Her community involvement was profound, including active roles in the Rockport Community Rec. Program, the Rockport Playground Committee, The Rockport P.T.O., Friends of Rockport Athletics, Girl Scout leader, Treasurer of Pigeon Cove Circle, a member of the Spiran Lodge 98, member of American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Friends of Halibut Point State Park and the President of the Rockport Alumni Association. She served on multiple scholarship committees.

Judi had the biggest heart in the world, best exemplified by her tradition of sending handwritten cards for every occasion. As a devoted grandmother, mother, wife, aunt and friend, she will be remembered for the times spent playing bingo and other fun games, and for her quiet passions like knitting, Sudoku, and word games. A gifted baker, Judi was famous for her delicious Christmas and Easter cookies, pies, and the best blueberry muffins in the world.

She lived by her wise words: "Always be kind. You never know what someone is going through. Also, have lots of friends. Don't hang onto one person. Enjoy everyone. There is a big difference between want and need."

Judi was predeceased by her parents, Charles Clayton Francis and Mary Alice (Sieg) Francis; her first husband, John Anthony D'Antonio and her second husband, David Richard Harris, and her brothers, Charles Clayton Francis Jr. and John Conner Francis. She was also preceded in death by her lifelong friend, Jackie Hansbury.

She leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her devoted children: Jeffrey David D'Antonio and his wife Sara, Amy Elizabeth D'Antonio and her fiancé Timothy Totman, Angela Balmes and her husband James. She was a proud Grammy (GaGa) to her grandchildren, Alli J. D'Antonio, John A. D'Antonio and Travis J. Cormier. She was a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews, with whom she shared a special bond, and is survived by her lifelong best friend, Peggy Justice.

A celebration of life will be held at the Rockport Country Club on Sunday November 23rd 2025 between the hours of 11am-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rockport Alumni Association (In Memory of Judith E. Harris).
