Gloucester - Karen J. (O'Neill) Traynor, of Gloucester, died Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at her home. She was 68.

Karen was born in Waltham on July 30, 1957, a daughter of the late Leo T., Sr. and Jean B. (Murphy) O'Neill, and was a graduate of Waltham High School.

Until her move to Gloucester four years ago she had lived in Rockport for more than 35 years. She was an expert gardener and seamstress and crafted countless gifts for family and friends that will become treasured memories.

She will long be remembered as a most thoughtful gift giver and loving "Nana' to her precious grandchildren.

She leaves her daughter, Briana R. Collins (Peter) of Rochester, New Hampshire; her grandsons, Sullivan D. and Sawyer P. Collins; her brother and sisters, Leo T. O'Neill, Jr. (Barbara) of Tewksbury, Joyce B. O'Neill (Larry Martin) of Scottsdale, Arizona and Elaine M. O'Neill (Paul Chaet) of Framingham and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Karen's life by gathering for a Morning Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, June 25th from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham will be private.
