Gloucester, MA - Lauren Lebhar of 8R Gerring Road, Gloucester, Mass., died on Wednesday, December 18, following a brief illness. Lauren was born in Yonkers, N.Y., in 1959, to Heather and Norman Lebhar. Lauren was the eldest of three children including her sister Lisbeth and brother John. Lauren attended school in and around White Plains, N.Y., graduating from Educage High School and later SUNY New Paltz. Lauren discovered cooking as a teenager and the kitchen would become her life's work Lauren was a lifelong baker and those who were privileged to sample her confections knew her talents. Lauren and her partner ran the legendary Greenery in Rockport throughout the 1990s with Lauren providing the baked goods. Before returning to Gloucester, Lauren resided in Vieques, Puerto Rico, as well as Kennebunkport, Maine, with her husband Alec Moseley. After her husbands passing, Lauren returned to Gloucester where she took up residence baking at the Willow Rest in Annisquam. Lauren leaves behind her sister Lisbeth; brother John; and nephews Mike Costa, Max Morrisey; niece Julia Costa; and dog Rocco.
