Rockport - Linda Marie Joseph, 69, of Rockport, MA died peacefully in her sleep on March 26, 2026, at her residence, Oceanside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on April 7, 1956, in Ipswich, MA and attended school in Ipswich and Rockport.

Following school, she worked at Oceanside Nursing and Rehab (then named Den Mar Nursing Home) as a laundry assistant and volunteered performing small jobs in the town of Rockport such as delivering brochures to local businesses for the Chamber of Commerce, assisting events for the Rockport Garden Club, and accompanying her friend, Judy Bogage while delivering Meals on Wheels to Rockport residents. In her later life, Linda was a daily participant at Day By Day Adult Care in Gloucester where she particularly enjoyed the company of friends on lunch outings, bowling trips, and watching Miss Tina's Seniorettes dance.

Linda was an avid animal lover, particularly those of the canine family. She communicated expressively and intuitively with her special dog friends who warmed to her naturally as if both pleased with each other's company.

One of Linda's most treasured activities was time spent with many friends at Hula Moon Café in Rockport. A regular for breakfast, Linda always felt at ease and at home in their company.

Linda leaves behind brother, John Joseph of Gloucester; aunt, Kay Joseph of Essex; uncle, Ronald Joseph of Manchester, CT; and half-sister, Kelly Allen of Barrington, NH. She was predeceased by her parents Sylvia (Kulju) Bernard and Ralph Joseph; step-father, Paul Bernard; sister, Miriam Joseph; and uncle, Robert Joseph.

She is also survived by good friends and caregivers, Nina Samoiloff, Mary Ann Kiley, and Martha Rappoli. Special thanks to the many care providers at Oceanside Nursing and Rehab who were extremely thoughtful in their care: Priscilla, Kendra, Theo, Jenn, Jade, Brie, and a myriad of others. Linda was lucky to enjoy a very caring "village".
