Gloucester - Madelyn Payzont passed on March 16, 2026 surrounded by loved ones in Tampa Florida ICU. Madelyn was born in Quincy to Marilyn Crowther. Her qypsy feet took her all over the US. Her favorite being the small town of Gloucester where she resided for many years. Madelyn will be remembered for her untamed gypsy soul. She prioritized personal freedom, and authenticity over societal expectations. She was unbiased, and had great capacity to love and forgive. She was an avid reader, lover of history and classic horror films. Her absence will be felt by many. Madelyn was preceded in death by her siblings Alden Payzont, Yvonne Walsh, Nancy Davis and her grandson Dylan Currier.

She is survived by her children, Adam Payzont and his wife Michaella, Jennifer Currier, and Marilyn DiOrio. Grandchildren Christina, Erin, Joshua, Jessica, Jacob, Madelyn and Alivia. 10 great grandchildren, her longtime partner Chucky Hudson, siblings Michael Liguori, Suzanne Dingle, Kathleen Davis, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Services will be private. A donation in her name can be made to First R Foundation in Gloucester, MA.
