Inverness, FL - Marc Allen Sylvia, born in Gloucester, passed away in Inverness, Fla., with his beloved dog, Buckshot, by his side. Marc moved to S. Florida at an early age with his mom, Donna, but continued to spend his summers on Rocky Neck with his nana Osier for many years. Marc made lasting friends during these summers who remain friends to this day. After living in Ft. Lauderdale for most of his life Marc recently moved to Inverness to follow his dream of living in a country setting. This is where Marc was the happiest with the lifestyle he loved, airboating, hunting, and fishing. Marc made true friends in the area and loved them all, especially the Newton Family, who he was especially close to.
Marc leaves many behind to remember him with deep love, especially his mom, Donna (Osier) McKenzie-Ross, his biggest fan and supporter of dreams. His children Kaylee (Josh Lathan) and Jeffrey (Jaimie) Harrelson; four grandbabies, Jace, Kennedi, Kenzie-Lyn and Bodie; and Marc's former wife, Rhonda. Also surviving is Marc's favorite aunt Sue (Osier) and her three children, cousins Travis, Cory and Elizabeth Luke, all of Hollywood, Fla. Marc's Gloucester survivors are his three uncles, Ralph Q (Carly), David and Christopher (Ida) Osier; cousins Sara (Nino) Sanfilippo, David Jr. (Liz) and Lindsay (Josh Hannah) Osier; and their three children, Logan, Lola and Liv Hannah. Marc's aunt Sandra Ciaramitaro; and three cousins, Kelly, Diane and Debra, also survive along with Marc's brother Shawn Sylvia of Florida. Special friends to be remembered are his "aunt" Judy Malloy of Delray Beach, and the Malloy family.
Marc was predeceased by his nana Edith Osier; and cousin Peter Osier of Gloucester; grampy Ralph Osier of Marblehead; and grandmother Alice Thompson of Florida. Marc was also predeceased by his step-father Alex McKenzie-Ross of Ft. Lauderdale.

A Celebration of Marc's Life will be held in Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., on Nov. 23, 2019. Please share a memory of Marc at Banks Page Theus Funeral Home online site. Donations in Marc's memory may be made to The Path of Citrus County or to one's favorite Charity. Marc would be proud to be remembered for helping people.

Marc was a larger than life character with an infectious laugh, a shit eating grin a mile wide, and a zest for life and the outdoor life. Over the years, whether in Florida or in Gloucester, he became embedded in my family’s life. He was easy to enjoy time with, LOVED having fun, tearing it up, and just enjoyed hanging with his tribe big time. My heart is sad and shocked at the reality that he is gone. I loved him dearly.
