He is survvived by his wife of 20 years, Shari Wilson Parisi, his three sisters, Mary Alice Parisi Doe, Ann Parisi and Paula A. Parisi, his three children Nikki of Gloucester, Anthony of Beverly and Peter of Gloucester and his four granddaughters Julianna, Vanessa, Chloe and Freyja. He leaves behine many nieces and nephews.

Nick was the oldest of seven children born to Jack A. and Annie Randazza Parisi. He was predeased by his three brothers, Jack, Joseph and Paul.

Nick spent most of his life in Gloucesters and moved to California in 2004, leaving the New England winters behind.

During childhood a favorite memory of his brothers was when they would build forts in the back yard only to tear them down and build them back better. When his sisters learned to drive, he taught them how to change the oil and tires on their cars and how to keep them safe. He was a dedicated big brother, always willing to lend a hand and share his knowledge. He taught his children that it's "not what you do, but how well you do it."

While growing up he spent most of his time on the water and docks. In the fourth grade he met Eddie Parnell and became best buds for life. They spent hours rowing their dory from Rockport to Ispswich and he could always talk a boat into towing them home. His family and friends have been regaled with stories of their escapades.

At age eleven he worked with his Uncle Sams' ice cream truck. Through his teen years he worked with his father on his fishing boat. Not being afraid of work, he started lumping at age sixteen and eventually became the #1 Union Lumper. He also worked part-time at the America can factory, making enough money to buy a brand new 1968 red Chevy Chevell. He loved that car and in 2008 found a 1968 red Chevey Chevell and just had to have it. He could fix anything and as a welder he fabricated anything that made peoples jobs earlier.

As the fishing diminished, he began working on the Big Dig as a Union Pile Driver. When he moved to California, he worked at the Port of Huememe as a welder and fabricator and retired in 2007.

Nick was a caring and generous and made friends every where he went. He was always up for an unusual adventure, as he called them. You never knew where or what you would be doing but you know you were in for a good time.

Since retiring, he participated in his wife's Homeless Outreach at church. He made thirty peanut butter and jelly sandwiches each week for sack lunches and helped to hand them out each Saturday afternoon. He donated socks, gloves, stocking hats and toiltries. In the winter he would heat up cans of soup providing them with a warm lunch. In the summer he would hand out bowls of ice cream. They would see his car and knew a treat was on their way.

He will be greatly missed.

In the future, a small memorial will be held in Gloucester and the scattering of his ashes at his favorite spot on the water.
