Glocuester - Pauline Brody, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 21st.

Pauline was born in Biddeford, ME and was the daughter of the late Earle S. Lyons and the late Blanche (Bastille) Lyons. Pauline was a graduate of St. Ann's high school, Class of 1955. She worked in the City Clerk's office for 17 years and was the secretary for the Chief of Police in Gloucester, MA for 13 years.

Pauline loved her family and friends. She loved living in Gloucester, loved her neighbors, the Soft Touch Salon family, as well as her Church family.

She is survived by her son, Chirstopher James Mourey of Gloucester; daughter, Julie Mourey Rigazio and her husband Rick of Arlington, MA; stepson, Michael Brody and wife Lisa of St. Johns, SC; sister-in-law, Shirely Richmond of Newton, MA; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband Richard S. Brody and her oldest son, William Mourey Jr.


A visitation will be held at Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, on April 25, 2026 from 9 to 10 a.m. A prayer service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. Internment will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA, where she fell in love with her furry-loving companion, Latte.
