Gloucester - Phillip P. Parisi, age 73, of Gloucester, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning, August 13, 2019 at the Den Mar Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Rockport. He was the beloved husband of Anna Marie (Palazzola) Parisi.
Born in Gloucester on August 19, 1945, he was the devoted son of the late Anthony and Angelina (Loiacano) Parisi. He was raised and educated in Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1964.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United Stated Army.
Phillip was a well-known and talented cook locally for 40 years. In addition to his cooking skills, he was also the manager of Charlie's Place Restaurant. After his retirement, he worked part-time as a cook at Cameron's Restaurant and the Pilot House Restaurant.
A lifelong resident of Gloucester, Phil was the 1964 Greasy Pole Champion Winner. He was also a lifelong member of the St. Peter's Club and Holy Family Parish.
Phillip was extremely dedicated to his family. He was a devoted son to his mother and cared for her until her passing. He gave unconditional love to his family and his grandchildren who gave him joy and many laughs. Mr. Parisi dedicated his life to helping others and was the first one to give you the shirt off his back. He would often assist friends with finding jobs and never thought twice about helping others. He will be truly missed by all who knew and met him.
In addition to his wife with whom he shared 48 years of marriage, he is survived by his two daughters, Jean Allen and her husband Robert Allen Jr. of Gloucester and Angela Parisi and her wife, Jodie Parisi of Salem; three grandchildren, Maxwell and Emma Allen and Stella Parisi; two sisters, Florence Martin of Gloucester and Ann Marie Fitzgerald and her husband John of Gloucester; his lifelong childhood friends, Jack, Tony, Mike, Tommy, Sandy and Louie; two sisters-in-law, Andrea Souza and her husband David and Cathy Logrande and her husband, Matteo all of Gloucester; one brother-in-law, Vito Palazzola and his wife, Susan of Dracut and several nieces, nephews, godchildren and cousins. He was also the brother-in-law of the late Ralph Martin.

His Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish (St. Ann's Church), 60 Prospect Street, Gloucester on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Visiting hours will be held in the church prior to the Mass on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester.
