Phyllis M. Camille
Phyllis was a vibrant and loving woman who enjoyed her life and filled it with family and friends. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, celebrations and holidays filled with laughter and food. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her mac and cheese, Italian cookies, and apple pie. Family was everything to Phyllis.
Phyllis was an avid traveler and had many happy memories of her adventures with her late husband, Richard. Alaska, Italy, South American, England, Spain, Portugal, France, and Bosnia were a few of her memorable journeys. Her trip to Llordes, France, was her favorite and, of course, family trips to Disney World.
She had many, many friends and enjoyed her time at the Rose Baker Senior Center having lunch, bingo, or a movie with friends. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Voyage Church. She was a member of the Madonna Del Rosario Society for over 40 years, and of the Seafood Retirees.
Surviving her are two daughters, Toni Camille and her partner Edward Berkman of Gloucester, Cynthia Camille-Ilges and her husband Kevin of Gloucester; three grandchildren, Adam Curcuru and his wife Janessa, Andrew Curcuru and Ana Curcuru; two great-grandchildren, Kajsa, Kiara; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Militello; a sister, Rosalie Moceri.
Her funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, Gloucester, on Friday, July 12, 2019, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her name to Make-A-Wish America Gift Processing, 1702 East Highland Ave., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016, or Cape Ann Veterans Services, 9 Dale Ave., Gloucester, MA 01930.
