San Jose - Richard (Richie) Whynott, 72, passed away on May 8, 2025, in San Jose California.
Richie was born in Gloucester MA on March 5, 1953, He graduated from Gloucester High School in 1971, he played on the football team. He got into the dog training business and he was involved in Schutzhund, a competitive sport that involved German Shepherd training for tracking, obedience, and protection. In the 1990s he moved to SF Bay Area in California where he had several jobs in the dog business. This got him to closer to his beloved Oakland Raiders. He was a good cook. He was a decent man and one would hope that his friends in the Gloucester area would give him a thought at the occasion of his passing.
Richie was pre-deceased by his parents, the late T. Raymond Whynott and Phyllis (Nelson) Whynott, and a sister, Carol Jean Whynott. He is survived by a brother, Nelson Whynott of San Luis Obispo Ca, and several cousins.
There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are made by Beddingfield Funeral Service in San Jose CA.
