Gloucester - Robert P. Foster, 61, of Gloucester, passed away Tuesday evening, February 11, 2020, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Gloucester, he was the beloved son of Joan (Holley) Foster of Gloucester and the late Robert G. Foster. Robert was raised and educated in Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1976.

Robert had been employed as a fisherman locally for many years, a job he truly loved. He was also an avid sports fan.

In addition to his mother Joan, he is survived by his daughter, Jamie Anderson and her husband Scott of Gloucester; his son, Sean Cunningham and his wife Phyllis of Gloucester; two grandchildren, Marley and Jace; two sisters, Barbara Silva and her husband Leroy, and Dianne Corliss all of Rockport; two brothers, Larry Foster and John Foster, both of Gloucester; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, St. Ann's Church, 60 Prospect Street, Gloucester, on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, c/o Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
