Danvers - Danvers - Salvatore Favazza, 85, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Sam was the son of the late Capt. Benjamin and Grace (Lucido) Favazza.

Sam was born in Gloucester, later residing in Danvers and Salem area for the past better part of his adult life.

Sam was one of Gods special angels on earth, showing others how to live a life filled with kindness and a love of family and friends, always having a smile and hug whenever anyone came to visit. He never had a cross word to say, always gave a warm smile to anyone he encountered, always shedding a tear of happiness whenever family visited him.

Sam enjoyed arts and crafts projects, taking trips to the Salem Willows with his housemates, and spending time with his friends at the different day programs in his later years.

Sam is survived by his brother, John Favazza of Salem and sister, Grace Lane of Gloucester. Nephews Michael Lane and wife Kathy, Richard Lane and wife Tracy, Peter Lane and wife Pam, Joseph Favazza and wife, Christine, Mark Favazza, and niece Claudine Laurie. He leaves behind several great nephews Christopher Lane, Jeffrey Lane, Justin Lane, Joshua Lane, Benjamin Favazza, Jared Favazza, Matthew Favazza, Daniel Favazza, R. Travis Lane and great niece Kristina Thrift.

He is predeceased by his brother, Carlo Favazza (Betty), and sister Mary Carl (Robert) and his brother-in-law, Leland Lane.

His graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Gloucester on November 3, at 1 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend. Sam's family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff and housemates of Bass River Group Home. Their kindness and love of Sam will always be remembered.
