Myrtle Beach - Sandra Jane Anderton, 87, passed away peacefully in Myrtle Beach on January 18, 2026.

She was born in Gloucester, MA on March 26, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Feurina Smith. She was also predeceased by her twin brother David Smith and brother Robert Smith.

Sandra graduated from Gloucester High School in 1959.

She was employed by Bank of America until she retired in 1998 and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC with her daughter, Julie Anderton. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, raising her dogs, cooking, and attending church at LowCountry Community Church. Sandra is survived by her children, Brian Anderton and his wife Alison, Kevin Anderton and his wife, Eunmi Lee, Julie Anderton, and Michael Anderton and his wife Joanne. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Joshua, and Morgan Anderton, Taylor and Siena Lee, Joseph and wife, Jackie (Cole), Ashley and husband Carlo (Sanfilippo), Marie and husband Andrew (Porper) and a great-grandchild, Siena Sanfilippo.
