Gloucester - Gloucester - Sandra M. (Joyce) Harris, 88, wife of the late Arthur "Ed" Harris passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025

Born in Boston on October 14th 1936, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ester (Vautier) Joyce.

Sandra resided in Gloucester MA, and dedicated over 50 years of her life working as a devoted and nurturing caregiver for many families and nursing establishments in need around the Cape Ann area. In her spare time she enjoyed nature and animals of all kinds,gardening,reading and wordsearches,decorating,shopping and of course watching her beloved Boston sports teams.Often attending games with her family and friends. Sandra also enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren, oftentimes treating them to special dinners,trips to build-a-bear and Putnam pantry where they would indulge in endless ice cream creations. Every year she looked forward to celebrating holidays with family but especially Easter and Christmas with many of her siblings, in-law's, nieces and nephews who she adored dearly.

In her retirement she enjoyed spending time in the sunroom of her home watching boats pass by along the annisquam river while relaxing in her comfy recliner. Here, she would also enjoy the stunning sunsets and the serene views of the MBTA train passing by. She loved to spend time with her children and enjoyed having a home cooked meal all together.

Sandra is survived and will be greatly missed by her children; Steven "Craig" Joyce and wife Grace, Rhonda Lee Joyce, Tracey Knowles and companion Jean Adams, John Harris, Kim Harris,Sean Harris and wife Holly. Grandchildren; Bob Martin and fiancé Stephanie, Melissa Lodge and husband Mark, Ashley Clinch and husband Tomas, Mariah Joyce and fiancé Brock, Brittany Pawson and husband James, Haley and Christine Harris, Samuel Wooters and Riley Harris. Great grandchildren; Shawna, Avery, Baylee, Olive, Violette, James III and Violet. In addition she is also survived by her two sisters; Barbara Lumbard and Linda Aylwin. Sister in-laws; Turibia Joyce and Peggy Vadala. Brother in-law; Mark French.

In addition to her parents and husband,Sandra is predeceased by her daughter in-law; Jini C. Joyce. Brother; Kenneth S. Joyce Jr. Brother in-laws; Carlton Lumbard and Kenneth Aylwin. Sister in-law; Shirley French.

The family of Sandra Harris would like to extend gratitude to the complete care teams of AFC and the staff at Ledgewood hospice and nursing care for their kindness and compassion.

A private celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sandra's memory to the Cape Ann Animal Aid; 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
