Steven P. Pierce Obituary
BIllerica - Steven P. Pierce, age 65, of Billerica and Rockport, beloved husband of Susan (Bachelder) Pierce, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday January 25, 2026 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born on August 20, 1960 to J. William Pierce of Gloucester and the late Judith M. (Lowe) Pierce, and raised in Gloucester, MA.
Steve was married in 1984 and spent 41 blissful years with his wife, Susan. Together they moved to Billerica and raised their three sons; Matthew, Andrew, and Jeffrey.
Steve enjoyed being a Dad, especially the family camping trips and many memorable vacations at the beaches in Gloucester. His greatest joy came from watching his sons grow up around hockey, both playing and watching together, as well as coaching their teams. He also enjoyed gardening, manicuring his lawn, and spending lots of time behind the grill.
In addition to his wife, Steve is survived by two sons, Andrew Pierce and his wife Jordan, and Jeffrey Pierce all of Billerica; his granddaughter Mia; his siblings, Mike Pierce, Chris Pierce and his wife Pam, Dave Pierce and his wife Joan, Tim Pierce and his wife Missy, and Kelly Rizzo, all of Gloucester.
For anyone unable to attend the Billerica services, a celebration of life will be held in Gloucester soon after. Date and time will be announced.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Andrew Church, 45 Talbot Ave., Billerica at 10 a.m. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
