Rockport - Suzanne Louise [Harvey] Groves passed away peacefully on November 1, 2019, after a brief bout with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Suzanne [Sue, Suzy Lou] was born to Barry and Gloria Harvey on July 6, 1963, in Toronto, Canada. As a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we make this announcement. She was everything to her family...a kind, nurturing, selfless, loving and giving soul, who couldn't do enough for those who surrounded her in life.
She was talented and artistic, like her father, Barry. As a young mom she would paint murals of life-size Disney characters on her son's bedroom walls and made sure he sported the best Halloween costumes. She loved interior design, sewing, gardening and being out on the boat. She especially loved kayaking with her buddy Tatyana "Tia" to the little island on Chebacco Lake to share a picnic lunch in the summertime. Above all else, cooking was her favorite hobby. She was a wonderful cook and nothing gave her more pleasure than filling everyone with delicious food made from the heart.
Suzy is survived by her husband, Bart Groves Sr.; their son, Bart Groves Jr., his wife, Rebecca and their four children, Tatyana Groves [16], Conrad Groves [11], Maddison Paisley Groves [3], and Remy 'Louise' Groves [3 months]. Predeceased by her dear dad, Barry Harvey; and survived by her mother, Gloria [Andrews] Harvey of Rockport; her brother Gregory [Greg] Harvey of Belfast, Maine, his three children, Joshua Harvey of New York, N.Y., Alexander Harvey of Ipswich, Mass., and Jade Lily Harvey of Maine; her sister Christina [Tina] Gentile of Rockport, Mass., and her son Jude Gentile. She is also survived by her dear extended family of special aunts, uncles, and cousins from Canada and England, along with many good friends. She was one incredible person, gone way too soon from our lives, but will live for eternity in our hearts. Rest in peace Suzy Lou. We love you.

A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 11 to 12 p.m. with a service at 12 p.m. in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester. Family and friends are cordially invited. Burial will be held privately. Online condolences may be given at www.greelyfuneralhome.com.
