Gloucester, MA - Vincenza Ferrara (Briguglio) was born in Cinisi, Sicily on November 23, 1936. Vincenza was the loving wife of Giuseppe Ferrara for 42 years. She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo Briguglio and Nicolina Lo Duca. Vincenza immigrated to the united states on October 23, 1976 with her husband and children. Vincenza was a resident of Gloucester. for 23 years and worked for Gorton's for 21 years as a fish packer. Although Vincenza loved the United States, she retired to Sicily in the year of 1999 with her beloved husband.

She is survived by daughters Nikkie Ferrara Soares, Christina Ferrara DiMaio, grandchildren Stefania DiMaio, Enza Christina DiMaio, Nicola Giuseppe DiMaio, Nicholas Ferrara Soares and Bianca Ferrara Soares. Vincenza is survived by her brother Joseph Briguglio and his wife Fina Briguglio along with nephews Vincenzo Brigulio, Matteo Briguglio and Nick Briguglio. Her loving brother Vincenzo Briguglio of New York predeceased her.

Vincenza was a woman of many talents. She was an incredible cook, she gathered her family every Sunday for pasta and homemade sauce. Everyone found pleasure in her singing, she could be found in the kitchen or sitting on the porch humming and laughing to her rendition of God Bless America. But most importantly, she was a woman of determination. She put all her efforts into any task and loved ones.

Relatives and friends are welcome to gather at 8 a.m. Thursday January 23 at Saint Joachim Church, 56 Broadway, Rockport, MA 01966.

I really zia vincenza when I came to Boston I was only 16 and she welcomed be to her family see was sweet and kind and I remember her cooking big pots of pasta and lobsters and she really loved her brother my father in law you will be missed zia I am glad I came to vivst one thanksgiving I got to see you one last time Rest In Peace zia you will be missed β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
