William C. Gibson Obituary

Tewksbury - formerly of Gloucester and Peabody, passed away on July 25th, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Mackay) Gibson, loving father of Christopher Gibson and his wife, Kerry of Tewksbury and the late Donna Astroff, cherished “Grandpa” of Elisabeth Gibson of Tewksbury, son of the late Leonard and Harriett (Hickman) Gibson, dear brother of the late Elizabeth Gibson. William is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 62) Wilmington, for a funeral on Tuesday, July 31st, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 30th, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in William’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. William proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
